46kg down. How one conversation changed my life.
By May 2025, I knew something had to change.
At 138kg, I was not just heavier, I was tired all the time, uncomfortable in my own body, and slowly losing confidence. Even getting dressed was a reminder of it. Wearing size 42 trousers and XXXL shirts had become normal, but it never really sat right with me.
I had tried plenty of times before. Diets, gym phases, fresh starts. I always meant it, but keeping it going was the hard part. Hunger, lack of energy, and everyday life would creep back in and I would end up right where I started. Eventually I had to admit that willpower alone was not enough. I needed help and I needed structure.

What really changed everything was a simple conversation.
In May 2025, I had a chat with Roger. There was nothing pushy or awkward about it. It was honest, calm, and reassuring, and it genuinely changed my life. For the first time, I felt listened to instead of judged, and I felt like there was actually a realistic way forward.
Initial Consulation
Roger then put me in touch with Nick for a consultation, which led on to Andrew and Charlie. From that point on, it felt like I had a proper team around me. Every step felt structured, supported, and safe. Honestly, such an amazing group of people at Kinglsey Muti.
Deciding to go down the medical weight management route still was not easy. It felt like admitting I could not do it on my own. Looking back now, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made for my health.
I did not expect miracles. I just wanted help controlling my appetite and a bit of breathing space to build better habits. The medical guidance and structure from Kingsley Muti gave me exactly that. Everything was clear, consistent, and done properly.
The Mounjaro injections were genuinely life changing for me. For the first time in years, the constant noise around food just quietened. I could eat, feel full, and move on. I was no longer thinking about food all day, every day. That mental shift changed everything.
The Weight Loss Began
As the weight started to come off, other things improved too. I had more energy. Moving felt easier. Getting to the gym around three times a week became realistic and eventually something I actually enjoyed.
One of the biggest changes for me has been my mobility. I have a fused right ankle from an operation in 2017 and no ACL in my left knee. For years, carrying extra weight meant I walked with a limp and daily discomfort, and I had accepted that certain things were just off the table. As the weight came down, my walking improved massively. The limp faded and then disappeared, and moving felt natural again.
More Focus, More Energy
Then came a moment I never thought I would see. I started running on the treadmill. I had not been able to run at all since my ankle fusion in 2017, and I genuinely thought those days were gone. That moment hit me hard in the best possible way.
The changes did not stop there. My focus at work improved massively. With more energy and far less mental noise, I am sharper, more productive, and more confident in my decisions. Being on Mounjaro, I have had my most successful sales year to date, increasing my accounts by 32.5 percent compared to the previous year. I handle pressure better, stay focused for longer, and show up each day with a level of drive I had not felt in years.
There were also the everyday wins that made it all feel real. Buying size 36 trousers. Dropping from XXXL shirts to a L or XL. Those moments meant more to me than the number on the scale.
None of this happened on my own. The support at home has been just as important. My wife, Lauren, who is also a dietician, has been incredible from day one. Helping me make smarter food choices, build better habits, keep me grounded, and stay motivated when things were tough. I genuinely could not have done this without her.
By 1 February 2026, I was 36kg down and weighing 102kg. But the biggest win is not just the weight loss. It is the confidence, the control, the freedom to move again, and the focus I now bring into every part of my life.
It’s now been just over a year since I started Mounjaro, and I’m delighted to say that I’ve not only reached my goal weight but gone beyond it.
When I started at 138kg’s, my target was 100kg. Roger encouraged me to aim for 98kg, then I pushed myself to 95kg, and I’m currently sitting at 92kg. That’s a total loss of 46kg.
I’m honestly so happy with where I am. I feel absolutely fantastic, my energy levels are through the roof, and I’m continuing to go to the gym three to four times a week.
What’s even more incredible is that I’m now setting myself a completely new challenge. I want to complete a Half Ironman next year sometime, so I’ve started training to see how my fused ankle copes with the increased running, especially as I’ve never run a marathon before and never thought I’d be able to run again to be honest.
Ongoing Monthly Support
With the support of my monthly chats with Andrew who has been an incredible mentor, I’ve now started the maintenance programme and reduced my dose from 15mg to 12.5mg. I’m pleased to say that over the past three weeks, I’ve successfully maintained my weight, so fingers crossed everything continues to go well.
I know maintaining the weight loss will take dedication and commitment, but I’m in the right frame of mind to make it a long term success. I am healthier feel stronger, more motivated, and more determined than ever to keep the weight off and continue building healthier habits.
And it all started with one honest conversation, followed by the right people and the right support. I can’t thank the team at Kingsley Muti enough.
